Form or Join a Team
Anyone that registers for the DAV 5K can form their own team! When you register, select the “Start a New Team” button and complete the registration process. You will automatically be appointed as team captain. After you’ve registered, ask your friends and family to join you!
Want to join a DAV 5K team? It’s easy! When you register, select the “Join an Existing Team” link. search for the team name, select join, and follow the remaining registration steps.

As a Team Captain, you will have access to both a Team Page and a Personal Page within your Participant Center. Use the Team Page to track your team roster, team fundraising goal, and all other team information. Distribute the Team Page link to recruit others to join your team and make a donation. Donations to your team will count towards your overall team’s fundraising goal and awards will be given to top teams in each city.
You’ll also have access to a Personal Page. You can use this page to tell your own unique story about why you’re participating. You will also be able to recruit donations on behalf of your fundraising efforts. Donations to you as an individual will count towards your fundraising goal and your team’s goal.
Awards will be given to the top fundraising individual and top fundraising team on race day at the Closing Ceremonies. Donations must be received no later than the Friday before race day at midnight.
To qualify for individual prizes in our DAV 5K Fundraising Incentive Program, all donations must be received by December 31.
