The DAV 5K is a run, walk, roll and motorcycle ride that honors our nation’s heroes.  All participants are welcome to run, walk or ride their motorcycles.  Handcycle and wheelchair participation is available for veteran participants only.

Run or Walk

The DAV 5K is a timed event and our top finishers (male and female and veteran/service member and general participants in each age category) will receive special recognition.

All walkers are welcome to participate, including children in strollers.  The race will begin at 9:00 AM, followed by Closing Ceremonies at 10:30 AM.  Walkers are encouraged to line up behind the runners at the starting line.

Veteran Handcycle Honor Roll

Veterans and service members can participate in the DAV 5K using a handcycle. The Handcycle Honor Roll will start before the runner/walkers take off and participants will be able to complete the full race course.

When registering as a veteran or service member, please indicate that you plan to use a handcycle when prompted. Handcycle participation is limited to 30 veteran participants per event and course restrictions may vary by city.  Participants are required to wear a helmet.

Motorcycle Honor Ride

To kick off the DAV 5K (course permitting), a motorcycle group ride will roll past the runners and walkers at the start line adding energy and excitement that only motorcycles can provide.

Motorcyclists will also rally at the finish to cheer on the runners and walkers. All riders and passengers must be registered. All makes and models of motorcycles are welcome.
